Hi friends! I’m a Pakistani American poet and artist. My writing often explores themes surrounding my nursing experience, being a first-generation Muslim Pakistani American. In addition to writing and performing poetry, I am an oil painter. I have been painting as a fine artist since I was ten years old, with a particular focus on nature and portraiture.
Alongside my love for art and poetry, I am deeply fascinated by history, linguistics, culture, and the vast field of nursing. At times, I have struggled to balance my love for science with my passion for the arts, but I have come to realize that, in unique and unexpected ways, the two constantly interact. In fact, I cannot imagine one without the other.
