Daughter of Narjis and Khalid Shujaat, Nehan Shujaat is a first generation Pakistani American who was born and raised in Texas along with her younger brother, Taha. Her background is in nursing, psychology, and art. She began writing at the mere age of 13, and has been since competing in slams and written poetry. Her passions also lie in oil painting and sketching, and she loves to share her art with the world. She is inspired by impressionists, the Beats poets, and contemporary artists. She is married to her husband, Taimur Khan, who is a cyber security leader and professor of technology. Together, both of them strive to make the world a better place in their own ways.

Shujaat is currently working as a registered nurse at Texas Health.
