Nehan Shujaat is a Pakistani American poet and artist. She is currently a registered nurse in North Texas. While working on her nursing career, Shujaat has focused on indulging in her passion for the arts. Often in her writing, themes revolving around the medical field, her experience as a first generational Pakistani, and her Islamic spirituality are present. Apart from writing and performing poetry, she is an oil painter who leans heavily toward an impressionistic style. Along with her love for art and poetry, she is also a lover of history, linguistics, culture, and the vast field of nursing. While at times struggling to manage both her love for science and the arts, she has found that in unique ways they both interact. In fact, she believes that she cannot imagine one without the other.
